Mons pubis is the bottom of a woman’s abdomen, where her belly meets the pubic area. The mons is the area over the pubic bone and above the clitoris and it’s hood. Mons pubis reduction is the removal of fatty deposits in this area.
This procedure is performed on women who have large fatty deposits in this area. These women often feel like there is a bulging appearance which gives them a non-feminine appearance and the feeling of being unattractive.
This fatty area encourages the patient to seek liposuction to improve the unsightly fatty bulges of the mons pubis. This fatty area can create aesthetic issues in clothting, bathing suits, undergarments and when nude.
This procedure is often done in conjunction with liposculpturing in other areas.
Typically performed on an outpatient basis. The procedure lasts between twenty and forty minutes, depending on the amount of fatty tissue to be removed.
